We spent 2 nights at the Beachcroft Private Hotel in Carbis Bay just outside of St Ives where we did a day trip to Lands End, Minack open air theatre and St Michaels Mount. In the evening we caught the train into town for dinner and to have a look around. St Ives is a fishing port known for its sandy beaches and surf at Porthmeor Beach. There were narrow cobbled stone streets with lots of little cottages. On our way back on the train Bryan had noticed a restaurant/bar on the beach so when we got off we walked down a killer hill to check it out and ended up staying for a nice but expensive seafood pizza with great views of the ocean.
