Ireland & England

Stratford-upon-Avon is a medieval market town and the 16th century birthplace of William Shakespeare. We stayed at a local B&B where the host was a bit concerned our suitcases would mark her walls. Steve and I purchased passes for the historic sites, we also visited the Holy Trinity Church where Shakespeare's grave is. The walk along the river was beautiful and we took the manually powered chain ferry across the river which Steve got to wind. This is a popular place for house boats with locks along the river. We got separated from Vicki and Bryan doing our tours but caught up with them later for a drink al fresco and then dinner at the oldest pub.
