We tossed up staying in Blackpool for the night but decided to keep driving. So glad we did as we got to stay in Morecombe for the evening. We got in quite late and had trouble finding accommodation, we came across the Auckland hotel which looked awful from the outside but surprisingly good once we went in. Steve and I got a front room with fantastic views of the beach. We went for a walk and came across the statue of Eric Morecombe, Dad and I were huge fans of the Morecombe and Wise show so I had to take a photo. The tide was out when we got there so got to walk a long way out. In the morning if was a different story with the tide in.
