Our next stop was Minehead a small coastal town in Somerset. There was also a Butlin's holiday camp here where there was an 80's function being held over the weekend. We had passed a few cars with people dressed up and now we knew why. We stayed at the Gascony Hotel and went for a drink at the Old Ship Aground pub were the guys sampled the Hobgoblin beer. It was a lovely little pub with very friendly bar staff and patrons so ended up staying for dinner. They had steak and kidney pudding on the menu so I couldn't miss the chance to bring back a childhood memory of mum making them for us. Not as good as mum's but not bad.
