This afternoon we left Brisbane…without Aunty Jean! We found out her passport had expired and so, she has been left behind in Brisbane with Neil to sort this out. We all hope she joins us really soon.
We have arrived safely in Singapore, but it is not much fun transiting through an airport at 3:00am. We found some Milo and buttered toast, although none of us are really hungry. It was just something to fill in the time.
After another long flight, we arrived at Heathrow. We decided to take a London Taxi into the city as we were all rather tired. Arriving at the Montana too early to get into our room, we were kindly offered breakfast in the Dining Room while they cleaned our room. We had some thing to eat and then went to sleep for an hour or so.
We caught the bus to Harrods and had tea and scones (with clotted cream, of course) in the Tea Room. Mum ordered Rose Tea as she is rather fond of Rose Grey. Unfortunately, Rose Tea is pretty rose buds that have steeped in boiling water. The 'tea' itself seemed to be missing. Dad and I really enjoyed ours... After a rather slow trip on the bus to Piccadilly Circus and across towards Trafalgar Square it all became too hard for the weary travellers. We took a ride on the Tube (This is a Piccadilly Line Service) back to the hotel for a light dinner in the hotel room and an early night.
