Today was a rest day. We enjoyed being in our little thatched cottage. We made scones for morning tea and managed to eat them outside on the little stone terrace as there was enough warmth and sunny breaks.
After lunch the three women went off to see Rosemoor Gardens. They were as beautiful as can be imagined. There were hundreds of roses in both formal and informal gardens. There was also a traditional English country garden, herb garden, a meadow and a wood to stroll through. By a little lake we saw a plant with the most enormous leaves.
