Phew! Getting ready is a lot of work. We have lists everywhere....yellow pads filled with TO-DO items and have been to Costco, Safeway and Walmart dozens of times already. Unfortunately we've met with two troubling issues: the fridge malfunctioned and the Klamathon Fire near the Oregon border. Luckily, after spending ALL DAY on it, John was able to trouble shoot the refrigerator and get it to work (hopefully it will continue to function properly). And, because of the fire situation in Northern California, we've decided to go east before circling back to the west. Our new route is not much longer and takes us east to Winnemucca and then up to Idaho and then back over through Yakima, WA. As with all travel, you've got to be flexible and ready to tackle the unexpected.
