Montanita is small hippie town on the west cost of Ecuador. It has the reputation as a party town but it also meant to have the best surf in Ecuador. After an extremely busy cruise in The Galapogas we were ready to relax on a beach for few days. Unfortunately we didn't do our research and the weather was overcast every day.

We still managed to make the most of 'cocktail alley' where there are lots of little stalls competing for your business and offering cocktails for as little as $2 each. We also used the time to enjoy the local food and to research Peru.
