Sarah and Marks adventures

Santa Marta is where most people based themselves on the north coast as its only an hour to Minca and Tayrona Park and 2 hours to Palomino beach, we spent 3 nights here.

During our time in Santa Marta, we explored the city and went for strolls along the beach as the average temperature was 30-32.
Another hostel was hosting a beer pong championship and we won!! (a bottle of rum) all the practice at our leaving party in London must have paid off!

I dived for the first time and absolutely loved it! After a safety demonstration in the office, we were straight out onto the water to practice everything I had learned. I had two dives of 30 minutes each. The variety of fish were amazing and we even saw a blow fish and two massive conger Eels. This was Mark's 25th dive and he even commented on how lucky I was to see the variety of fish.

Due the horrible situation in Venezuela the Venezuelan bolivar is currently worthless. A lot of Venezuelans come to Colombia to sell and buy goods. They are trying to make the best of a bad situation and are making products from the Venezuelan bolivar. I bought a purse that a street vender was selling as I had read that one purse could provide food for them and their family for 2 weeks.
