Sarah and Marks adventures

Minca is a tiny town nestled in the mountains surrounded by jungle, it used to be a pretty dangerous place because of the guerrilla presence but in my opinion it felt like one of the safest places in Colombia. Our hostel was amazing, the views were incredible, the staff were friendly and helpful and it had very social but not a party atmosphere. There was even a loo with a view.

After a busy 3 weeks of traveling we were more than happy to relax and take in our surroundings. On the first day we hiked for 2 hours to a beautiful waterfall and ended at a coffee plantation.

Colombia

Minca is a tiny town nestled in the mountains surrounded by jungle, it used to be a pretty dangerous place because of the guerrilla presence but in my opinion it felt like one of the safest places in Colombia. Our hostel was amazing, the views were incredible, the staff were friendly and helpful and it had very social but not a party atmosphere. There was even a loo with a view.

After a busy 3 weeks of traveling we were more than happy to relax and take in our surroundings. On the first day we hiked for 2 hours to a beautiful waterfall and ended at a coffee plantation.

During the hike we heard howler monkeys and saw some massive spiders. I wasn't brave enough to swim in the river but Mark was and he got to slide down a natural water slide our guide showed him.

The rest of the time we spent reading our books in the many hammocks, playing cards and making friends. I even tried out the morning yoga.

We also made friends with a really nice couple Jenny and Cheyne, Jenny is from Dublin and Cheyne is from Sydney. They travelling to similar countries as us for a simiar length of time.
