Cookie Para Mi

This was not supposed to be a blog, more of a collection of our experiences, for our future selves. Stories that we can look back on and remember that time when we had seven months sans work, no children, no mortgage, no worries... FREEDOM from everyday life, uninterrupted quality time together and nowhere to be. True luxury!

Leaving Melbourne was tough. We had spent the weeks leading up to the trip packing up ourselves and the apartment and attempting to get organised for the months ahead. We left home with a return ticket out of LA, and one further flight to Mexico... that was it. We had set ourselves up for an adventure, where every day was dictated by us, no time pressures or no where to be, everything at our own pace. It was exciting and also daunting. We had drinks with a great crew of friends at The Empress on the weekend and then before we knew it, we were off. I left Zig Zag Rd in tears as we said goodbye to Mum and then the tears continued as we got one last hug in with Dad, Hannah and Max at the airport. And so the journey began..
