This was the part of the trip I was most excited for, the final home game for the Ligue 1 (French football league) champions PSG(Paris Saint-Germain). Not only were they going to be crowned champions at the end of the night but it was also in my opinion the last time that the best striker in the world would be playing in the home stadium for this prestigious club. That player would be none other than Zlatan Ibrahimovic. One of the best strikers to have ever played the game and I got to witness his last home game at the Parc des Princes for the club PSG. That night was one to never forget as Zlatan scored a brace (2 goals) and lead the team to a 4-0 victory against opponents FC Nantes. Zlatan scored his second and the team's fourth goal of the night in the 89th minute and as he approached the half way line he waved his two kids onto the pitch. Both kids came sprinting out and Zlatan picked them both up and walked straight off the pitch and PSG played a man down for the final 4 minutes of the game. It was truly astonishing from the quality of soccer we got to watch to the fans sitting all around the arena. When I think culture, yes we are talking about beliefs and values but for me a big part of their culture is sports. Those fans out there did not stop chanting and they are raised to love their hometown teams and it gives me the chills sitting in that stadium because the atmosphere is something you can't experience at an NFL or MLB or any other game in my opinion. Easily was the greatest experience of the trip for me and my life and will easily be an experience I'll tell my friends and family for the rest of my life.
