After a good nights rest, we were back on the metro towards another one of Frances biggest attractions which is the Palace of Versailles. After exiting the metro and walking what seemed to be like forever, I could slowly see the palace emerging from the horizon. With the gold gleaming from the sunlight it was hard to miss. While approaching the front gates you could see that the gate was gold, the outside of the house was outlined in gold, thus pulling my attention directly to how amazing this structure is. It was crazy to think that one man had this palace built to live in and a few of his staff and family members. Thinking about it there were probably a couple to a lot of rooms that he himself, Louis XIV, had never visited. Not only was the outside amazing itself but the interior of the palace was out of this world. With high ceilings with paintings from wall to wall to just large rooms with enough space to fit so many people in. Every room seemed to be the size of ten average sized rooms. Then there were the gardens in the back which were magnificent. Versailles is a sight for sore eyes.
