When in Paris

When I arrived in Paris, I heard the best place to go shopping was at Galeries Lafayette and they were not wrong. This place was like a shopping mall and/or outlet store on steroids. They had everything one could imagine. From stores such as Michael Kors, to Gucci, to Rolex and almost every other lavish branch one could be in search for. There was one building that was suited for women and then a separate building for men. The women's side was six floors and was filled will things from shoes to clothes to jewelry to cook books and everything a girl could be looking for. To get to the mens store you have to cross a passage that was an open bridge between two buildings that was located above a busy street in Paris. It was crazy to see that Galeries Lafayette was something out of this world. Upon entering the mens section we could tell the style of stores was a lot different than what we would normally see in the states. The first couple of stores that I saw were fitted dress shirts, sport jackets, business suits. The style of men in France was very business casual in that most men wore dress shirts everyday or suits or something business like with nice shoes and everything. Rarely did you see someone in sweatpants or shorts or anything less than business related. Galeries Lafayette is where I purchased the PSG jersey that is the one souvenir that I wanted to bring home as being a huge soccer fanatic. If you're looking to blow the doors off your bank account than Galeries Lafayette is the place for you.
