Summer Travel 2015

Well, it's not the way you might want to spend the last day of your wonderful vacation, but as we had invested in this tour (with no chance for a refund), we felt it was better to go. It's not that we didn't have a good time; it's just that it was such a grey and dreary day, from beginning to end. Thankfully the rain held off, or it REALLY would have been cold. Only a third of my pictures even had hope of being considered a photo worthy of viewing, and that as it turned out, was even a little bit of a stretch. We did see a few whales, a number of birds, including a couple of kinds of puffins, and several golden

eagles.

All in all it has been a marvelous, fun adventure having the RV and camping our way from Forest City, Iowa to Anchorage, Alaska. Tomorrow we will be turning in our RV, visiting Eileen Starr, our Pastor's wife's sister in Anchorage and having dinner with her, and then heading out to the airport for the beginning of a very long night. Hopefully, I can share more about that tomorrow.
