Summer Travel 2015

Had a really pretty uneventful day today as we had our longest trip so far, and possibly the longest (miles) day that we may have on the whole trip. Covered a lot of Wyoming and Montana today and tonight we sit just short of the Canadian border in Shelby, Montana. Tomorrow we will be going up into the Canadian Rockies, and that is always a wonderful reminder to us of God's fabulous creation. No problems on the road today (except I left the gas cap at some station a couple of hundred miles from here).

Just shy of Canadian border

Had a really pretty uneventful day today as we had our longest trip so far, and possibly the longest (miles) day that we may have on the whole trip. Covered a lot of Wyoming and Montana today and tonight we sit just short of the Canadian border in Shelby, Montana. Tomorrow we will be going up into the Canadian Rockies, and that is always a wonderful reminder to us of God's fabulous creation. No problems on the road today (except I left the gas cap at some station a couple of hundred miles from here).

As the title of today's chapter would suggest, we saw thousands of cows today doting the scenery. From rocky mountain cliffs to wonderful, fertile farmland, cows seemed to be the subject of the day. The beef industry must be doing really well out here. I'm only sorry that I did not stop and take a picture of one of the thousands of calves that we saw with their moms in the fields today.

Along with the cows there were goats, sheep, and plenty of horses. As you can see below, there were also dozens of electrical windmills providing power for a significant part of this part of the country.
