Deb & Rash Sahota's 2 Years in Edinburgh
Finally got to use the voucher that Kirsty and Jordan bought us for Christmas. Took a nice little walk down to Princess Street and the Edinburgh Gin Distillery is underground next to the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. The whole distillery is based in one room which also doubles up as a trendy small bar in the evening.
A lovely girl told us all the history of gin and that the Edinburgh Gin Distillery had only been running for a few years but had really taken off. We were shown the gin stills and told how they worked.
Once the tour was over we were given a lovely gin and tonic to try. Seeing this was before lunch we had to go for a walk afterwards for something to eat to sober up.
Will go back to the cosy bar another day.
