Deb & Rash Sahota's 2 Years in Edinburgh
What a weekend, home from Edinburgh on late Thursday night. Spent time with Rash's dad in hospital on the Friday. Saturday morning drove to Stratford with Rash and Jordan. Meet with Kirsty and Brad for lunch then off to Travel Lodge. Nice meal in the evening for the six of us, Becca had travelled from Bristol by train. Ate at Zizzi's and had birthday cake for Jordan and Rash's birthday.
Sunday morning at 7.30am Rash set off on his own for the race start line of the London Marathon. The rest of us grabbed some breakfast and set off to see him at the 9k point. We just about saw him run past and was doing well. Next stop was Canary Wharf where Pardeip came and joined us to support Rash.
Joined the mayhem again on the DLR & tube to get to 23 mile mark, Rash came through still running well but was so focused he did not see us. He finished the 26.2 mile in 4 hours & 49 minutes in exceptional weather conditions the hottest London Marathon on record. We were all so proud of him. Followed up by a well earned beer.
