What a good weekend we had. Started off on Friday night with a walk and then drinks at the Veeno Wine Bar.
Saturday afternoon we went to see the comedian John Bishop at the Fringe, managed to get front row seats. Very funny he was too.
On Sunday we drove for an hour to Stirling. Stopped at the Bannockburn Museum and had a look around the battleground where William Wallace (Braveheart) led his men. Rash enjoyed the display of armoury. From there we went onto Stirling Castle and Church. Lit candles for mum and Reg Stirling in the church. Walked along way to see the 18th Century bridge then onto the William Wallace Monument which was at the top of a large hill. Caught the mini bus up but walked back down. Rash climbed inside to the top of the monument but l had a panic attack regarding the height and could only manage the first floor. Great actors telling the history or Robert the Bruce and William Wallace outside the monument. Lovely old town.
