This weekend has been pretty relaxed since Anh and Dung left Friday afternoon for the motorcycle race in Malaysia. I didn't actually know they were going until Friday afternoon when I called Dung after being locked out of the apartment. My grandparents were out grocery shopping and came back pretty soon but Dung couldn't come and let me in because she and Anh were on their way to the airport. I still don't know when they're getting back but I'm assuming it will be sometime tomorrow because I don't think Dung will want to miss much work.
For fear of being locked out of the apartment, I didn't leave as much as I usually do on the weekends. I went grocery shopping Saturday, for a run on Sunday, and to the playground with Anna both evenings but other than that, I stayed in and did homework and laundry - as usual. Today was very exciting for Anna because Anh's parents came to visit from the city. She loves both sets of grandparents very much so to have all of them to herself and all together was a dream come true

She loves both sets of grandparents very much so to have all of them to herself and all together was a dream come true
for her. They came just before lunch and left after dinner so they weren't here very long but Anna was happy to see them nonetheless. They even took her out to the park after lunch so she got to go twice in one day. In the evening before dinner, we made a "Spooky Cat Garland" from a set that my mom sent a couple weeks ago with the other gifts. We had a lot of fun gluing and constructing the cats and they look very cute hung up in the living room.
It's almost now 10 and Anna and my host grandmother are watching Mr. Bean on Disney Channel. It's everyone's favorite show and they always laugh hysterically at the program. I've found that Mr. Bean is good for everyone because there's almost no dialogue in his program and his humor is based entirely on the goofy situations he gets himself into; he's entertaining and understandable in any language and for people of all ages.
I'll be heading to bed soon; putting up the cat garland was a lot of work because even with the step stool, I'm barely tall enough to reach the curtain rod where I hung it up. I may ask Anh to help me adjust it when he gets back but I also tied it up there pretty tight so it might be difficult to move now.. Anyway, thanks for reading and have a great Sunday!
