My diary

I'm finding it harder each week to find something different and exciting to write about since there a fewer new things for me to experience now in my daily life in the Ecopark. A few times in the evenings this week I've met The Anh at Block B3 where there's a basketball hoop. He bought a basketball downtown so we've been practicing with it. Tonight while we were playing the lights shut off about 5 different times so it became frustrating to try and keep playing; I eventually had to have dinner anyway so we both went home about an hour later.

The rest of my time out of school has been spent on my college applications and online math class. Since I'm applying to nine schools I have a lot of essays to write and revise; the first two applications are due November 1st so I don't have much time left to finish them off. So, I've been working away at those each day and getting edits from Lily and some of her friends. My mom's birthday is the 31st
(of October) and she told me the best gift for her would be notification that I'd submitted all my apps on time, before their November 1st deadline.

As I said before, there's not much that's new. Viet is going to be in the South through most of October so I won't have any more language lessons until early November. I'm planning on going climbing again this weekend and maybe exploring around Hoan Kiem lake since I feel very confident about my knowledge of the main streets there. I would obviously go with The Anh or someone else; I'm not quite confident to go by myself yet..

Anyway, thanks for reading this short update! The photo is from last Friday; it was supposed to be Vu's and Duc Anh's last day (even though they've both been here all week) so our geography teacher got a picture with them and the whole class. Everyone laughed at my pose in this one so I though I would share it:) Happy Thursday!
