My diary

Since it was our last full day in Quy Nhon and half our group flew home after breakfast, we had a relaxed day. After breakfast at the complimentary breakfast buffet, I went swimming at the beach. I was one of the only people out and it started out pretty nice but not too long after I got in the water, the waves started getting frighteningly large and strong. After getting knocked off my feet and thrown down by crashing waves, I decided to swim in the pool instead. It was still refreshing and a much less scary alternative to the crazy waves on the beach.

I finished my swim and went back into the hotel to shower and clean off before lunch. Since we have an early flight tomorrow I started to pack up until Dung came by to take me to lunch. We went to a restaurant on a dock that overlooked the port in Quy Nhon. Though it smelled strongly of gasoline and the floor shook occasionally, I think it was one of the best meals we've had on our vacation. We started with jellyfish, a new taste for me, and 7-Up in a vintage-styled can. Unsurprising, the jellyfish itself didn't taste like much but it was

Quy Nhon Day 4

August 09, 2015

Unsurprising, the jellyfish itself didn't taste like much but it was

mixed with chilies and veggies so the bite was pretty spicy. We also had clams, oysters, scallops, squid, fried rice, and hot pot. I'm not sure what was in the broth but it had a strong cilantro and lime flavor. With noodles and greens, it was very good. For dessert we had pineapple then got in the taxi and headed back to the hotel.

Later in the afternoon, Dung and Anh went swimming but since I'd already been in the morning, I sat on the beach and had a fresh coconut. Dung and Anh didn't stay in long since there were huge, crazy waves again so when they got out I had a little downtime before dinner.

Dinner was at the same place we had lunch on Friday. We had fish, fried chicken, yellow rice, fried prawns, rice, pork, and soup but since I had more stomach issues I just ate rice, pork, and greens. After dinner we drove back to the hotel but the adults (not including Dung's parents) went back out.

Now I'm finishing packing; we have to leave the hotel by 7 tomorrow morning so want to have as much time to sleep as possible. I hope you've enjoyed the vacation blogs. I probably won't post again until the weekend but as usual, I'll send an email. Thanks for reading!
