My diary

We all had a sleep in this morning and then I went for a run to Wandsworth park. Again it was beautiful in the park, the river was like glass and it was a lovely morning. It was much lighter at 9am than when I have previously been running so I actually had a good look at the park and at the river in both directions. Home for bacon on toast for breakfast and we left at 12noon to go to Oxford St for some shopping!!
Ian and Lauren lasted the first couple of shops then they decided to go to London Bridge to do the London Bridge Experience and the Tombs while Brianna and I stayed to shop. We had a good time, got some good bargains in the sales and enjoyed going into shops we don’t get at home but it is such a pain trying on clothes when you are dressed in jacket, boots, jeans, jumper and scarf!! By 4:30 we were shopped out and couldn’t be bothered getting undressed anymore so we walked

London

We all had a sleep in this morning and then I went for a run to Wandsworth park. Again it was beautiful in the park, the river was like glass and it was a lovely morning. It was much lighter at 9am than when I have previously been running so I actually had a good look at the park and at the river in both directions. Home for bacon on toast for breakfast and we left at 12noon to go to Oxford St for some shopping!!

We had a good time, got some good bargains in the sales and enjoyed going into shops we don’t get at home but it is such a pain trying on clothes when you are dressed in jacket, boots, jeans, jumper and scarf!! By 4:30 we were shopped out and couldn’t be bothered getting undressed anymore so we walked

to Covent Garden from Oxford St and found a pub to wait for Ian and Lauren – they met us soon after 5pm having had a great time at London Bridge.
We had tickets for Aladdin tonight at the nearby Prince Edward theatre so we had dinner in the West End first – ended up in a French café of all places as all the nearby pubs were full. Dinner was delicious and then we wandered across the road to the theatre. We had amazing seats in 2 of the boxes that come out from the side of the theatre – they sat above about row D of the stalls so had a great view – lost a little bit of the very edge of the stage but there was no one in front of us to have to look around and we didn’t miss anything important by not being able to see the very edge. Aladdin was absolutely fantastic, we all loved the show and were so glad we were able to see it in London’s West End. It was a perfect end to what has been an amazing week in London, we have loved every moment of it and are so fortunate that the weather has been so kind to us. Caught the tube home after the show and got home about 11pm.
