Tripping 2019
Landed 4.30am ready to roar but only squeaked after 2.5hrs bumbling through airport processes and 2hr trip to hard to find but gorgeous courtyard hotel. Bonus to get immediate room access. Beijing’s population 21.54 million and China at 1.4 billion a tad intimidating versus NZ’s 4.79m. They all seemed out and about in their cars as we inched out way through the surprisingly accident free, morning rush hour chaos. PHOTOS: 1) Karen leading the way down Shijia Hutong, the street our hotel is in. 2) Hotel courtyard. 3) View from K&T’s door, yep this area has mezzanine floor. 4) My room - tiny with rock hard bed, but perfectly fine @ $NZ130 each for the 3 nights. Then random pics of our neighbourhood.
