> Our days food during day trip to Hastings and Alfriston. The scones served in traditional Sussex trugs, the handles made from hand-clefted and shaved coppiced sweet chestnut wood. The basket has five or seven thins boards of cricket bat willow, all held together with metal pins - a craft that dates back to the 1500’s.
