A novel thing this morning was to ability to make porridge and (attempt) to brew some of this drip coffee. 10/10 on the porridge but the coffee will need some work!
Crom’s employer in London has their head office in Beverley Hills, just off Rodeo Drive so we got an uber there. It was lovely to recognise some of the art work of the European properties and to have a tour of the office before lunch with some colleagues. This was on a Beverley Hills Rooftop at a hotel close to the office complete with a view of the hills (through the smog) and a pool!

Crom’s employer in London has their head office in Beverley Hills, just off Rodeo Drive so we got an uber there. It was lovely to recognise some of the art work of the European properties and to have a tour of the office before lunch with some colleagues. This was on a Beverley Hills Rooftop at a hotel close to the office complete with a view of the hills (through the smog) and a pool!
Being the tourists that we are, we wandered down Rodeo Drive which is where the shots of shops and wide Beverley Hills boulevards are taken for the movies. Not quite our style of shopping, even in the flashest outfits we had! After a visit to the Beverly Hills sign, we walked down to Century City Mall. We need to buy some outfits for our friend’s wedding as we’ve found out our shipping has been delayed on its way home to NZ.
Shopping is not Crom's favorite pastime, but we had a very enjoyable shopping experience navigating the American brands and retail personalities especially in Bloomingdales where Jo had the royal treatment!
Dinner beckoned and we nabbed a booth on the patio at The Crack Shack. We enjoyed southern style fried chicken and Mexican poutine washed down by some more Californian craft beers while watching some more American Football.
A very enjoyable but lengthy uber home (EVERYONE drives here!) before a wander down the Hollywood Walk of Fame to spot some stars (pun!) and bed!
