John and Nancy's Excellent Adventure

This morning we had a wonderful breakfast in Jackson before setting out for Yellowstone. The first picture below was in a store window, where we stopped before entering the Park.
We spent many hours driving to Yellowstone, got our Golden Eagle Pass, and headed to Old Faithful. We finally found a parking space just in time to view an eruption of the geyser. It was very impressive! We took a hike around Geyser Hill, to view many geysers and other geological features. Then we made our way to the Canyon Lodge where we were staying. We had a reservation for dinner at Lake Yellowstone Hotel, built in 1891, but we were delayed getting there

Canyon Lodge, Yellowstone

This morning we had a wonderful breakfast in Jackson before setting out for Yellowstone. The first picture below was in a store window, where we stopped before entering the Park.
We spent many hours driving to Yellowstone, got our Golden Eagle Pass, and headed to Old Faithful. We finally found a parking space just in time to view an eruption of the geyser. It was very impressive! We took a hike around Geyser Hill, to view many geysers and other geological features. Then we made our way to the Canyon Lodge where we were staying. We had a reservation for dinner at Lake Yellowstone Hotel, built in 1891, but we were delayed getting there

by bison blocks on the road. Finally we made it and had an elegant dinner. We took the picture below from the water, when we took a lake cruise the next day.
