Today was a busy day, starting with a wonderful tour of the State Capitol Building. We visited the Supreme Court Room, the Senate Chamber and the House, as well as learning a lot about Utah history and present government.
From there we spent some time in the Family History Library and had some help from staff and volunteers researching John's family tree.
We took a break at a recommended pizza place and found ourselves among lots of costumed people going to a huge comic book convention at the convention center.
Fortified, we went to the Tracy Aviary to see lots of species, many of which we had never seen before. Finally, our last activity was attending a rehearsal of the Mormon Tabernacle choir, held in the Mormon Conference Center, where the auditorium holds 21,000 people!
Tomorrow we're off to Jackson, Wyoming.
