After taking a local bus to Puerto Vallarta, we emerge to tourist town, where many goods on the main boardwalk are advertised in USD. We’re not big fans of the town but after a long sweaty walk our of town, including over boulders, we arrive at a small inlet with only a couple of local families enjoying the water. A restaurant whose steps meet the water offers a lovely haven where we spend a few hours alternating between swimming in crystal clear water and drinking beers.
