We drove to Hanoi with the sole purpose of selling Harley. We knew there was some cool things we could do there but we had been pretty busy the last few weeks and were looking forward to just chilling out. I made some flyers and put them up in some hostels and on craigslist. We met up with Pleun and some of her friends and drank plenty of the fresh beer. It was beer without preservatives that only lasts about 3 days and was super cheap.

We went for a drink with Matt Lowe who owned a bar in the nicer part of Hanoi. It was interesting to hear off him how corrupt Vietnam still was and how he ran the bar. Cara unfortunately got ill that night and so she had to spend the next day in bed, and I obviously had to look after her. We watched Lord of the Rings on our 5th attempt, Cara kept falling asleep, and Hot Fuzz.

The coffee in Vietnam had been the best coffee I had drunk in my life. I probably averaged 2 cups a day whilst I was there. Hot and iced coffee. As my mum was the most avid coffee drinker I know I decided to buy her some for Christmas. We went to a little coffee shop and had 4 or 5 tasters before I chose 2 different types. They actually

ground it up in front of you as well which was cool.
The next day Cara was flying to the Philippines. We both decided to go and get piercings together for our last day. I got my ear done and she pussied out. When we were done she did her final shopping and we said goodbye. We both realised that we had spent a full month together, nearly 24 hours a day, which was more than either of us had ever done with anyone. We had got on amazingly though and had had an incredible time together.

With Cara gone I had to really concentrate on selling the bike. My visa was out in 3 days so I had to hurry. I dropped the price and stuck a sign on my shirt that said 'bike for sale'. This seamed to work and I had a few people inquiring. Eventually Florine, a dutch girl, found me a guy who was interested. I showing him the bike and gave him an hours lesson on how to ride as he had never ridden before. He was happy and paid $250 for it. I booked my 24 hour bus to Vientiane and left!
