Keith & Noel's Route 66 Adventure

We left Santa Clarita and headed West toward Ventura to begin our trip up the coast. The weather was beautiful, as we meet up with Highway 101 this is the interstate that runs sometimes on the coast but all times near the coast We had lunch in Santa Barbara at Jill's Place, it was great and this little restaurant really looked like it would be a great dinner choice had we been staying in the area. We moved a bit farther North trying to hit Highway 1 the true coast highway, however this strip is highly mingled with 101, we took some turn outs and drove near the shore of the Pacific. We encountered long lines of RV parked in spaces along the coast in some of the parks in this area, parked on the shoulder of the road with their doors opening to the

Pacific Ocean. As the day wore on it became very windy and dusty! We ended the day in Arroyo Grande, a stones throw from Pismo Beach.
