Keith & Noel's Route 66 Adventure

The next morning we venture into the Squaw Valley Ski Resort where the 1960 Winter Olympics were held, we ride the cable tram to the top of the mountain over 9000 feet above sea level, what a view! Then we have lunch at PlumpJacks Café, and said Hi to one of Noel's son Mike's friend from college who is the bar manager.
We then hit the highway for a pretty boring ride to Elko Nevada to spend Monday night, the halfway point between Tahoe and Yellowstone, our next target. We did come upon some cars from a Hemmings Motor News Road Rallye, on the highway, some open wheel roadsters, old vette, old pickups etc. Later that evening we saw the hotel where they were staying, there must have been 130 cars,

Tahoe to Elko Nevada

Then we have lunch at PlumpJacks Café, and said Hi to one of Noel's son Mike's friend from college who is the bar manager.
We then hit the highway for a pretty boring ride to Elko Nevada to spend Monday night, the halfway point between Tahoe and Yellowstone, our next target. We did come upon some cars from a Hemmings Motor News Road Rallye, on the highway, some open wheel roadsters, old vette, old pickups etc. Later that evening we saw the hotel where they were staying, there must have been 130 cars,

and many more support vehicles. They were traveling from California to Moline Illinois, top speed allowed is 50MPH.
