Head East - Lake Tahoe

We spend a couple of hours this morning looking around for a new camera, as my trusty Sony Point and Shoot has developed some spots on pictures due to dust on the processor. We couldn't find any place open to clean it, nor did we find a replacement to my satisfaction, so I am resigned to crop out the spots in all of the pictures!!
We head toward Lake Tahoe around noon. Still another gorgeous weather day, clear with beautiful blue sky overhead.
Almost immediately as we leave the city and head toward the mountains the scenery makes a dramatic change, Fir and Pine Tree's begin to dominate the landscape. The further into the mountains we go the forests become breathtaking in their beauty. Higher and

higher we climb into the Sierra Nevada Mountains, we stop near Donner Pass for some pictures at about 7000 feet above sea level. Snow decorates the Mountain Tops yet we are in the high 80's for a temperature. We are staying in Truckee Ca, about 12 miles from Tahoe, we check in and head to Lake Tahoe for dinner on the shore of the lake at Sunnyside Restaurant. We sit on the patio and are treated to a picturesque sunset in one direction, and the Full Moon hanging over Lake Tahoe in the other direction, a memorable evening.
On the way back to the hotel I spied a Car Wash Vacuum cleaner at a gas station, I removed the end piece of the vacuum and Vacuumed all around my camera lens for about 5 minutes. Presto, most of the dust is now gone, good enough work til I get home and take it to Rowe for cleaning! So the black spots you may have noticed should be for the most part gone.
