If you’re looking for something “molto carina” you’re going to love Slovenia wee man! It is the country with love in its name after all.

You’ll enjoy cute walks and bike rides around the lake, with plenty of spots to enjoy a little dip in the pristine waters. Taking a picturesque hike through the local villages out to Vintgar Gorge is highly recommended. You can even sample some apples and pears straight from the trees along the way.

If you thought it couldn’t get any cuter, rent a row boat and row to the little island with the cutest darn church you’ve ever seen. Plus they have the yummiest treats in the little cafe to satisfy your appetite after that long row across the lake. It is tradition for newlywed husbands to carry their new bride up the steep steps leading to the church, bringing the couple a lifetime of love and prosperity. So make sure Rob works on his guns before you arrive.

This place is not only molto carina, it’s also molto delicious! Enjoy a super cute dinner in the castle restaurant high on the cliff overlooking

the lake. Before you devour your five course feast (we had to roll home down the cliff) make a little visit to the castle’s resident monk who will be hilarious and a little creepy, but will sell you the most delicious Slovenian wine in all the land! Also try to get your hands on a bottle of Slovenian orange wine, Balv couldn’t stop raving about it. Just be careful it doesn’t turn into a series of unfortunate events like in Margaret River haha.
