Greece & Haarlem

This was one of Cyndi's favorites. Like many ancient cities, the main prominade (Lechaion Way) led visitors into the city with columns lining either side. After ascending some stairs, one is faced with the Bema seat. This is where Paul would have faced Gallio, the proconsul of Acts 18. There seems to be no evidence of the Jewish Synogogue that Paul would have lived beside, but it would have been pretty close to this city center. There were many other temples to their gods, the largest of which was to Apollo. It's a beautiful place with the sea in one direction and the Acrocorinth in the other.
