Green and beautiful landscapes, those were my first impressions of Ireland. Once we arrived to Galway I could get a pretty nice feeling of the city even before we got out of the bus. Galway looked like a small cute little city but I was surprised to find out that the weather was actually colder than I was expecting. Well, I really didn't mind the weather I just wanted to go explore.
Along with the group we first visited the Cathedral of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven and St Nicholas. The architecture and the design was outstanding. The cathedral was pretty much the first place we visited in Ireland.Since that moment I could see how important religion is in Ireland. Cathedrals for instance are some of the largest and most impressive buildings in the country.
I was raised in a conservative catholic family however I don't remember when was the last time I went to a Catholic Church. Doing it after so long brought to me many memories of my childhood and teen years. I felt immediately connected to the place!
