Countdown

After years of dreaming, months of planning and weeks of packing, it's finally last minute details and we are OFF! We will miss our house, our community, our favorite people - but are leaving everything in good hands. We look forward to "visiting" late May - mid June to see what's new & exciting and to connect with friends and family.

fantastic - you would never know she just had a baby 4 days ago! SERIOUSLY!!??

Jonas and Julie made sure we really "got out of Dodge" and got us and all our luggage safely to our hotel near O'Hare. We have never traveled with sooo much luggage! Ha. So much for packing light.

Early to bed and early to rise. Alarm is set for 2:00 am!

'Twas a short night compounded by a too warm room, a too soft pillow and a too busy brain. Yet 2am still comes at 2am. A quick cup of hot coffee and a quick shuttle to the airport to stand in line and wait with all our luggage. Take pics of all the bags just in case they don't find their way to St. Thomas with us.

All goes as scheduled and before you know it we are enjoying the free shots of various flavors of Cruzan rum, got all our bags (yay!),

taxi to the ferry dock, enjoy our last snack of Wisconsin cheese and sausage ("Bagman" even enjoyed some, too!), take "Adventurer" to Roadtown, find all our luggage again, go thru immigration, find our taxi driver, "AC", to take us to Nanny Cay Marina, find Nutmeg and aaaahhhhhh!

Drinks and dinner on the beach with our sailmates Max & Whitey, and our farm-hockey-sailing friends Megs & Tom and it's time for a good night's sleep on Nutmeg.

PREP DAY
* Unpack All Morning
* Whitey goes up the mast to repair steaming lights
* Gpa works on cabin door repair and tests Satellite phone - calls Owen, Keith & Julie Z
* Max runs "into town" one last time
* Gma works on computer work that didn't get worked on at home
* Rotis for lunch (Yum!)
* Take a walk around Nanny Cay - photo bomb a small beach wedding (Oops! Sorry!) - find Nutmeg's on-the-hard-safe-spot during hurricane Irma
* Lime 'n Coconut time :)
* Salmon & Caprese Salad
* Good Night.
