Putney

We moved into our flat at 24ALower Richmond Road in Putney on 26 August 2016.
As much as we loved every minute of our travels, it felt really good to have a place of our own where we could unpack and settle in.

Our room is on the top floor of the two-story townhouse. There are four studio rooms in the house each with it's own ensuite bathroom. The shared kitchen/laundry is on the ground floor and then two rooms each on the first and second floors.
At the front of the building on the ground floor is the Riverside Upholstery Store owned by Mussein who is an immigrant from Eritrea and a wonderful neighbour.

Putney is a mostly white, upper middle class suburb which means it is clean and quiet. It only takes us 5 minutes to walk to Putney High St where there is plenty of shopping, restaurant and pubs. Matt also really likes that we are only one street back from the Thames River and he enjoys walking across the river on the Putney Bridge

on his way home every day.
Putney is in Wandsworth Borough in South-West London which makes it quite easy for me to travel by train to work in Croydon which is in South London.
As well as being close to two train stations we also have a bus stop right out the front of our house which is extremely convenient although can be noisy as the buses stop directly out the front of our flat and run 24 hours a day.

Putney also has an abundance of pubs in the local area and we are enjoying making our way through them all and trying out the Sunday roast lunches.
