2018 Adventures
After an adventurous spring we decided it was time to head home to spend a little time in Calgary. While we were away Calgary had some of the all time record snow falls and accumulations. It was definitely a good year to be away.
While we were away Stevie gave birth to our 7th grandchild - Nya Lynn Riley. She is cute as a button and we enjoy our morning walks with Stevie, Nya and Iggy.
While we were home we got to see Tayla an Riley at their dance recital. Tayla won the most improved award. Way to go girls!
Cayden was enjoying his spring soccer games and looking forward to the time at the lake.
The summer months not only brought the Calgary Stampede adventures but also Scott, Maribell, Danny, Anika and Glen into visit. The Stampede parade once again was a great success and ended up to be +30 by the time the parade ended at 11-1130.
Rick went back to Boundary Ranch again this year and volunteered his time 2-3 days/week as a trail guide and ranch help. Boundary Ranch has an exceptional location to discover the adventure and serenity of the Canadian Rockies. You can embark on horseback to explore the scenic backcountry trails; with its captivating nature and mountain views. Guided rides are suitable for guests six years and older with all riding levels and experience. Group Events include: BBQ’s, activities, staged gun fights, wild west rodeos, wagon or sleigh rides. What a wonderful place amongst the mountains in Kananaskis Country.
Brenda took some time while she was home to catch up on her nursing shifts at the Rockyview General Hospital. Just enough time each week to keep things interesting.
After a few weeks back at home we are getting ready for our next adventures..
Next Stop: British Columbia west coast - Vancouver and Victoria.
