Cape Kanapitsa

After the active day we had yesterday we're planning on having a lazy day today, so that's our excuse for rising from our pits a little later than usual. With our batteries fully charged we managed a bit of sunbathing after breakfast, Elaine having a couple of much needed swims as well as another long chat with our Norwegian friend Alan, while I tried yet again to clear my blocked ear... but all to no avail I'm afraid, getting more than a bit frustrated with this now!

It's very hot so we decide to have a very light lunch back in our

room of the left over snacks we have. So a few crisps, a couple of garlic stuffed olives, grapes and a peach for me and of course a nice long cooling drink; similar for Elaine but an apple and orange in her case for dessert. Bit of a siesta after this was much enjoyed!

After all this resting we feel a bit more activity is called for, so more sun worship it is then, and it's so so hot out here! At least it's supposed to be a lot cooler tomorrow... could be as low as 37 degrees... and they consider that cooler...??? We go up to our room relatively early as we need to cool down and get ready for our dinner at the Olive Thea Restaurant again.

Before being picked up we check at reception if they could book me a doctor's appointment to have my ear checked out,

of course they can and I'm booked in for 10am tomorrow. Our ride arrived on time, and with a nice couple from Cleethorpes already on board. Turns out that they were well travelled and we chatted about our various trips during the short drive to the restaurant, many of which crossed over!

We're seated in the corner of the third level terrace with amazing views out over the Aegean. There is a pleasantly warm breeze blowing up from the coast tonight, adding even more to the ambience of this amazing restaurant. The service and food was again excellent, and it was nice just being the two of us tonight. Enjoyed a lovely couple of hours here as the warm sunlit day gave way to the balmy moonlit night.

We were ready to leave the restaurant within minutes of the couple we drove in with also finishing, so travelled back with them too; again travel was the main topic of our relatively short conversation. The good thing about being driven in the restaurant's taxi is that we didn't have to walk up that hill from the main road. Not the most active day we've ever had but we're still feeling quite exhausted, I'm guessing the heat is mostly responsible for us feeling so tired.
