Day 13, Blowin' up a storm

An early breakfast this morning to enable us to get to the medical centre in time for my 10:00 appointment. Arrived fifteen minutes early and pleased to find they were expecting me and I was seen almost immediately! Took about 15 minutes to check me out and my ear wasn't blocked at all, had an infection for which they prescribed three different meds, one of which was to counter the side effects of the other...!!!

After finding the pharmacy we walked to the bus terminal, treating ourselves to an ice cream on the way! Back at the hotel we asked reception to book us dinner at the Taverna Kanspitsa then got changed and headed down to the pool for more sun... after taking my first round of meds of course!

A bit of a breeze this afternoon made sunbathing a little more

comfortable but it was still very hot. Decided to head back to the room late afternoon and was pleased just to lay out on the bed with the air conditioning cooling us down. We started to hear an odd noise, Elaine thought it was the wind blowing the trees outside our room, and on checking it out she was very much proved right. The sky had clouded over, the previously calm water now pretty choppy and that wind now blowing a hoolie. This could spoil our beachside meal tonight!

Not to be put off by the windy conditions we showered and dressed for dinner and made our way down to the taverna. They were open but all the tables out on the open part of the terrace were a no go zone and all the clear plastic roller blinds had been put down to protect the diners that braved the winds. As we'd booked we were still able to take our table and enjoyed another lovely meal here at Taverna Kanapitsa.

Fortunately the wind outside wasn't as bad as it sounded from inside so our walk up the hill to the hotel was no problem... apart from the fact that it was still very steep...!!!
