Aussie Fockie 01/04/2016 - 30/04/2016

In the morning we left to Surfers Paradise (Esteban, Sandra, Rebecca and I). Rebecca and I stayed in the same 4-share room. Finally we had a luxury room, at least luxury how backpackers would interpretate this, meaning an own toilet and shower:). We shared our room together with Maria (Spain) and Katie (England). During the day, we went to the beach, the weather was perfect. We met some guys trying to sell party cards to go out later in the evening. They tried to sell us the cards for 70 AUD, waaaaay too expensive! So we left and they followed us and finally sold the cards for 30 AUD, so that is the way how things go here…

Around 4pm I went back to the hostel and sat together with Maria at the pool, nice and relax:).

Together with Esteban, Sandra and Jack we started the pub tour around 6.30pm. The crew organised some games to get to know the other participants. I had the luck that I won the first game, price 1 free drink hoooraaay! We had to throw flipflops in a little basket.
Later that evening we went to another pub, which meant another game. Esteban and I were a team playing beerpong, the beer excluded. The ping pong ball just needed to be thrown in little cans of water, not really that hygienic to drink from cans where the balls are in. We were a great team and managed to end on the second place. By the time we ended the game, we saw that Rebecca was getting a little bit tipsy, after two drinks… That was kind of funny.

Sandra met a guy who was in the pub tour as well. She introduced him to us, but didn’t really liked him. While we were hopping from one bar to another, he was always pushing me to spend the evening with his friend, and I didn’t want that. I stayed with Rebecca and looked after her. Esteban and Jack were a little bit waisted and were in need to search for other girls.
The last bar we went to called ‘The Bedroom’...... Yes, there was actually a bed in the dancing room.. Thank God I didn’t see waisted people smashing themselves over there…
Together with Rebecca we left the dancing scene around 12pm and went to the hostel.
