After having almost no sleep in the night (a lot of snore in a 12-share room) I woke up at 10.30am. I went to Woolworths, a known supermarket, to buy some groceries.
Having had breakfast, I took the Brisbane Explorer. You can recognise them as those old English red buses. The trip was 30 AUD, but you could see all curiosities of Brisbane within 90 minutes. I considered to rent a bicycle to explore the city, but this was really too dangerous. There are no marks on the street where bicycles can drive. After the bus ride, I was walking around and met Tony, a guy from Syria. We talked a little bit and then I went back to the hostel to get myself ready to meet my Australian friend in the evening. Around 7 pm I met Rachael, we know each other from the Miss Peace model competition in North-Cyprus (2012). Together we went to eat something in the River Bar and catched up, as it had been 4 years since we last saw each other. She studies Journalism in Brisbane and stays on the 62th floor of a big complex. She showed me her apartment and I was so amazed by the view…
And what else did I do this day… Sending my lovely mum a message for her birthday!
