The Hop on Hop Off bus tour

Sitting near the Eiffel Tower I see a hop on hop off bus come by and decide this would be the best bet for me to see most of the city without navigating it myself.

30 Euros gets me on and can last all day if I wanted. But is already 4 pm and I just want to be toured around to catch some pictures.
The tour is fine, comes with an audio guide that explains the sights we see as we drive past them. We drove through the Latin quarter, which is basically their university area and so called the Latin quarter because that was the language used when the university began.

Drove to the Opera where the Andrew Lloyd Webbers Phantom was inspired, I didnt make it inside as that was not a priority for me.
Drove through the expensive part of town, past so many shops that would eat an entire paycheck of mine in one go. I really am amazed at how they are able to keep going- who has all this money???

Its quite difficult to filter through all the sights of Paris, but one that stood out to me was the Lock Bridge. Back in 2008 someone put a pad lock through one of the tines in the bridge railing as a declaration of his love. Since then the bridge has been completely covered with every kind of lock imaginable from people declaring their love. Really quite sweet and different.

Drove past Pont Neuf, meaning New Bridge, but in reality its the oldest bridge in Paris. This bridge was used, (as was much of Paris) in the first Bourne movie. Along and near these bridges you'll find buskers selling pictures, drawings, etc - all souvenirs of Paris.

All the movies that have ever been done of Paris are pretty accurate from what I can see. The Woody Allen flick Midnight In Paris is a fabulous piece of work that really lets you see some magnificent sights- cant wait to watch that again and recognize places!
