Chocolate Festival Bummer

I was looking forward to going to the chocolate festival here in Paris. I mean who wouldn't want to go to a whole event dedicated to chocolate!? However, the night before in the middle of the night I felt very sick. I thought that I would be able to just sleep it off but it kept me up until the morning. Half of the girls was going to go earlier in the morning to do some things in Paris before it opened and the other half was going to go later in the afternoon. I was originally going to go with the half that was going earlier, but I was still feeling very sick. I decided that I would just go later in the afternoon so that I could have a couple more hours of rest and hopefully feel better.

Unfortunately I was not feeling so great later either. Sadly, I decided to stay behind and I do think that it was a good decision. Of course, I was very bummed that I did not go but I could not picture myself traveling an hour or more into Paris just to get there and spending a few more hours there while feeling so sick.
Even though I was not there, some of the girls were sharing photos through our WhatsApp group message. Because of that I was able to get somewhat of an idea of what was going on and what they were seeing. A lot of them did say that the event was very crowded and uncomfortable and that most things there were very expensive, but some of the chocolate displays seemed très cool and very creative. Also, my roommate knew that I was bummed out that I could not go so she brought me back and pretty little box that had four pretty pieces of some kind of fancy Japanese chocolate. I thought that was so sweet of her and it made my day.
