50th Anniversary Round the World Trip
Santorini is one of the most beautiful islands ever!
It got its shape by a volcanic eruption in the 16th century BC, and our ship is anchored in that ancient caldera.
The are two towns, Fira and Oia, way high on the cliffs that are reachable only by cable car, foot, or donkey. As we were warned that the footpath is often covered in donkey poop, we figured the cable car is the best mode. We don’t have a long stay here because, as luck would have it, the cable car will be undergoing maintenance in the late afternoon.
Again, amazing beauty is the buzzword here.
