My Canadian Adventure

PART 1
Well after a looooonnnnngggg 12 and half hours, I made it to LAX, at just before 7 am, on the 7th of November (8th Australian Time). This is when my adventure started, going through US customs is pretty scary and pretty new, nothing compared to Australia, well it is in some ways but it’s a bit different. So I made my way through customs, and then it was time to collect my baggage, well this was a mission, couldn’t find my bag at one point and I was freaking out because I couldn’t find one of my bags and I had no idea what to do and my first thought was to ring my mum but wait I don’t have an international SIM card working at the moment but luckily I found it so yay. After this was done, I made my way through to where the transfers for connecting flights were and I dropped off my bags, ready for my flight to Vancouver.

This is where the adventure really began, I didn’t know what else to do, so I just jumped into a taxi and man that was a long and expensive ride ($70 later). I arrived at Hollywood Blvd, where I was just mind blown by everything there, I saw the Hollywood sign, I walked on the

LAX & Vancouver

I arrived at Hollywood Blvd, where I was just mind blown by everything there, I saw the Hollywood sign, I walked on the

walk of fame or whatever it is, and then I hopped onto a tour bus and just went away Hollywood and just took everything in. You get a sense of reality, that not everywhere is like Home. It was a good reality check.

After I had adventure through Hollywood, I made my way back to the airport to wait out the next 6/7 hours for my next flight to Vancouver. It is currently 5:05 pm and not long left until I have to fly again. I am so close to Canada, it’s just becoming real that I’m about to do this massive journey!

I miss everyone already and I will keep you all updated :)

PART 2
So after leaving the LAX International Airport and flying 3 and half hours, I made it to Vancouver where the temperate was 4 degrees, was not expecting that. I landed into Vancouver about 10:15 pm, after clearing customs and immigration, it was time to make my way to the SameSun Hostel, where I would stay for the next 3 nights before making my way to Whistler on Friday Morning. I arrived at the Hostel after catching the taxi which was the easiest option for me with all my bags, although I could have gotten the train (CA$7) which would have been cheaper, then the thought came into my head like why did I bring so much stuff haha. I arrived about 11:45 pm and man was I ready for a sleep in an actual bed. So I made my way up to my room, where I met my German roommates, who are doing the same working holiday program as me. After settling into my room, it was most definitely time for a shower and time to go to bed.
