So it’s been over a week since I arrived in Whistler and what can I say? It’s so bloody beautiful... The season has officially started for Whistler Mountain - Blackcomb opens on Thursday, gonna be crazy busy from then on with work.
The last two days have been crazy as well, working most of Friday and then all of Saturday, however, Saturday was a mission to complete... note to self-don't go out the night before work especially when you drink double shots cause it’s cheap.. aye still made it to work on time.
Friday was my first day of working and that was alright, just went over basic stuff like what we would be doing and basically it’s like my job at Chipmunks just with a few hundred more kids, best way to describe it haha oh wells I’m keen to see what each day brings besides the 800 kids daily hah not only will I be helping in the kitchen but my role will extend out to help setting up areas for skiing around CLC (Children’s Learning Centre). I will be at Mid Station on Whistler Mountain almost every day, and what’s more exciting we can get ski breaks and ski home from work if we really wanted to. Although need to know the basics first.
Although Saturday was a little different, with the minor hangover and lack of sleep, basically just cleaned the centre for 6 hours preparing it for work starting next week. Working Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday this week and then full time starting the week after, so gonna be crazy from then on but I’m so excited especially when it hasn’t stopped snowing for the last two days and more is expected to come.
I know that most of you are expecting me to write this everyday and I promise I will try to but with work and skiing and everything having to adult, it’ll be hard, but I promise when I can I will keep you all updated with my adventures in Canada.
Miss you all and hope to hear from most of you soon :)
