The Athenian Life: My Fulbright Experience

New Year, New Me. At least, that's what everyone says every time the new year comes around. Personally, I have never been big on New Year's resolutions. My mom may talk about them endlessly as the New Year is approaching but I have never gotten into the trend. This year, however, I have decided to listen to her advice and create a few resolutions for myself. My first two resolutions, run a half marathon and create this travel blog, were relatively easy to come up with. I have been wanting to accomplish these things since I began my Fulbright in Greece this past September but have not been consistent at following through with my goals. So, using resolutions as an excuse, I am going to try to follow through with these goals for the remainder of my time in Greece. I wanted to start my blog by creating a map that shows my travels from this past school semester and list the places and dates next to the map. Before you get to the map and destinations, however, I added a few of my favorite photos from this past semester. I stuck to having two photos per destination and added in four photos that show significant events that occurred here in Athens. These events include our first Acropolis tour, first night out in Athens, President Obama's speech, and Kim finishing the original Athens marathon. Throughout the year, I hope to continue to add to my travel list by creating diary entries for each trip/important memory and hopefully, this New Year's resolution will hold me accountable and push me to achieve this goal!
