Around the World in Many Days, I: South West Africa
And so ends the first leg of our journey, in which we feasted on Namibia, and briefly tasted Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia.
To sum up the 34 days:
- 2 days of flight from USA to Namibia
- 4 days in Windhoek
- 25 days by car
- 3 more days in Victoria Falls
We travelled 4,144 kilometres by car (all driven by N), during which we had four flat tires (one exploded, one punctured, one leaking valve, one broken valve), three extended air-conditioning malfunctions, and one murine hitchhiker.
We stayed at 8 different guesthouses for a total of 17 nights, and at 10 different campsites for a total of 15 nights.
